Ted Rifkin Jr. or “TJ” as he’s better known, is a skilled financial planner and the founder of True Wealth Group. He currently serves as the sole owner and lead planner of our team. Starting our practice in the height of the COVID pandemic in the beginning of 2020, he quickly realized the vast need of financial expertise and management for the community surrounding him.
TJ graduated from Grand Canyon University with a double major in finance and economics. Furthermore, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Honors College at GCU with a 4.0 GPA. A great deal of his discovery and passion for finance is attributed to the experience he has at his proud alma mater. Specifically, TJ thanks his finance professor and chairman at the time, Mark Jacobson, for his disposition and thoughtful approach to the world of finance and the role it plays in helping people.
TJ grew up in the small town of Durango, CO and relocated to the Phoenix valley in the fall of 2017. His favorite activities in Colorado like skiing, mountain biking, rafting, and cliff jumping, quickly shifted as his surroundings changed in the desert. Now, he enjoys pickup basketball, pickleball, and golf with his friends, colleagues, and clients. Upon moving to Phoenix, TJ worked on staff at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) as a worship pastor and contract musician while finishing his degrees at GCU.
