Ted Rifkin Jr., better known as TJ, is the founder, sole owner, and lead planner of True Wealth Group. He started the practice in early 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic after recognizing a significant need for financial guidance and management in the surrounding community.
TJ graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at Grand Canyon University with a double major in finance and economics and a 4.0 GPA. He credits finance professor and department chair Mark Jacobson with shaping his approach to finance and its role in helping people. While completing his degrees, TJ worked at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) as a worship pastor and contract musician. He remains active at his church, leading worship every weekend with his wife, Hannah.
Originally from Durango, Colorado, TJ moved to the Phoenix area in fall 2017. Growing up, he enjoyed skiing, mountain biking, rafting, and cliff jumping. He now favors lower-risk pursuits, including running and ultramarathoning, golf, pickup basketball, and pickleball.
TJ brings a distinctive blend of expertise in entrepreneurship, advanced financial strategy, real estate, tax planning, and investment management. This combination makes him and his team a valuable resource for high-net-worth clients and families.
